Classic yet original; traditional yet progressive, Art Hide creates originally designed and ethically sourced leather products of an heirloom quality. Art Hide is born out of a spirit of adventure, a love of people and a vision for what brings beauty to an environment.
The company was formed by Australian sisters, Kura Perkins and Bree Hay-Hendry in 2009. Entrepreneur and former PR executive Kura’s travels in South America inspired the Art Hide vision and Bree’s skills as a textile and fashion designer brought the concept to reality. The duo’s experience, combined with traditional skills of their meticulous leather-craft team and a range of cutting edge technologies, have created incredible everyday masterpieces for hundreds of clients. Art Hide’s high quality cowhide is sourced as a by-product of the meat industry from regulated tanneries, where techniques involved in tanning and dyeing are always secure for workers and are non pollutant.

LASERED RUGS To make Art Hide’s signature laser burn cowhide rugs, we use a state of the art laser machine to burn intricate patterns into the cowhide. While bolder patterns are ingrained upon the hide’s texture to create large motifs, fine repeat pattern work is used produce a feathered effect. With the natural variation of the cowhide leather, the effect is that of elegance and luxury that come together to create the wow factor.
