The Reno Home Show is Brisbane’s newest renovation and design show where more than 100 of the country’s best designers, architects, stylists, home builders, trades and product suppliers will converge this winter from July 20-21 at the Historic Brisbane Showgrounds.
This exciting new Home Show was created by Brisbane interior designer Renee Watson who saw an opportunity in the market for a boutique event aimed at home renovators. Whether renovating their kitchens or bathrooms, updating their fixtures and fittings, undergoing a complete renovation or simply looking for inspiration, the Reno Home Show has something for everyone.
“It’s all about creating a community atmosphere in a beautifully rustic space where stall holders can get to know one another and visitors can talk face-to-face with designers and trades to create the home of their dreams and improve their livability,” Renee says. “We’re different to other home shows in that this is a celebration of service and product providers from grassroots, one-person businesses to advanced boutique brands.” It was while Renee was working with her husband running their own plumbing and kitchen/bathroom renovation business that the idea for the Reno Home Show struck. “We couldn’t find a home show we felt we fit into, so I decided to create one,” she says.

Exhibitors and presenters include the hugely successful Three Birds Renovations run by three best friends and busy Mums who swapped the boardroom for a building site to pursue their passion for renovating. These stunning ladies are sure to draw a crowd with their stunning portfolio of projects.
The Block’s Michael and Carlene of Cedar and Suede will also exhibit alongside their vintage caravan Dolly and will showing you how to renovate a vintage caravan. These are private group workshops, so you will need to get in early if you want to save your seat.
Other exhibitors include the highly acclaimed Brisbane architect Shaun Lockyer; mavenHOME interior architect and designer Lee Talbot; and founder of Undercover Architect, Amelia Lee. One of the most exciting parts of this home show is that there will be interactive workshops, panel discussions and conversations with industry leaders and inspirational guests so you are sure to leave with insider tips and tricks you can take home and use on your own renovations.
The Reno Home Show is expected to attract 6,000 visitors over two days. “It’s for people who love their homes and love renovating, decorating and home improvements. Whether they’ve done it before or they’re doing it for the first time, they can meet everyone they need to bring their vision to life under the one roof at the Reno Home Show,” Renee says.
Free coffee by Q Roasters will also be available for the first 4,000 visitors to keep them warm and caffeinated while they explore the event, meeting everyone and finding everything they need to design their dream home.
